The Broadband Admittance Tunnel is MWI’s most versatile characterization platform, covering the critical transition from high UHF through the K-band. This system is the industrial workhorse for the aerospace and defense sectors, providing a balanced environment for high-throughput permeability and permittivity mapping.

Wavelength-Driven Engineering

  • Antenna Synergy: Optimized for use with MWI GBA or PRA antenna pairs. The tunnel geometry is customized based on the selected antennas to ensure the beam waist is perfectly centered within the iris.
  • Geometric Precision: With wavelengths between 11mm and 600mm, the aperture is precision-tapered to prevent edge diffraction while allowing for standard-sized sample pass-through.
  • Advanced Shielding: Engineered to maintain a dynamic range > 70 dB across the entire bandwidth, ensuring that subtle variations in material loss are captured accurately.
