mmWave Reflection Loss Arch (18 GHz – 67 GHz)

The MWI mmWave Reflection Arch is a high-precision instrument for the satellite and 5G/6G sectors. At millimeter wavelengths (4.5mm to 16.5mm), even the slightest mechanical deviation can lead to phase errors. This arch is engineered for extreme rigidity and sub-degree angular accuracy.

Wavelength-Driven Engineering

  • Focused Spot Size: Leveraging MWI’s GBA or PRA antennas, the arch focuses RF energy into a tight “Gaussian spot” on the sample, preventing over-illumination and edge-diffraction.
  • Micro-Alignment: Features precision-machined carriages and high-resolution encoders to manage the sensitivity of Ka and Q-band signals.
  • Integrated Net Table: Utilizes ultra-fine netting to ensure that the support structure remains invisible to the high-frequency reflective field.

Primary Utility

Designed for measuring the reflectivity of high-frequency radomes, satellite heat shields, and specialized coatings used in 5G/6G signal management.
